电磁转矩是电动机旋转磁场各极磁通与转子电流相互作用而在转子上形成的旋转力矩。是电动机将电能转换成机械能重要的物理量之一 ,仍是阻尼分析与控制的理论基础。
当电枢绕组中有电枢电流流过时,通电的电枢绕组在磁场中将受到电磁力,该力与电机电枢铁心半径之积称为电磁转矩。
由感应电动机工作原理知,感应电动机的电磁转矩可以由电磁功率除以电机的同步机械角速度求得,而电磁功率对应于转子电流在等效电路中转子等效电阻Rr′/s上所产生的功率。对于两相感应伺服电动机,由于经常工作在不对称运行状态,电机中既有正序磁动势产生的正向旋转磁场,又有负序磁动势产生的反向旋转磁场,正向旋转磁场将使电机工作在电动机状态,产生正向电磁转矩T1,而反向旋转磁场则使电机工作在电磁制动状态,产生反向电磁转矩T2,伺服电动机的电磁转矩应为T1-T2。而T1和T2可分别由正序旋转磁场和负序旋转磁场产生的电磁功率求得。
