即使在很短的距离内，大型设备的负载电流也可以在其与地电势之间产生变化，或者通过电磁作用直接产生不可预知的电流。在不正确的接地点的电源之间，电路中有可能产生毁灭性的电流， 以至于破坏设备。

PLC系统一般选用一点接地方式。为了提高抗共模干扰能力，对于模拟信号可以采用屏蔽浮地技术，即信号电缆的屏蔽层一点接地，信号回路浮空，与大地绝缘电阻应不小于50MΩ。

线间电容避免误动作

电缆的各导线间都存在电容，合格的电缆能把此容值限制在范围之内。即使是合格的电缆，当电缆长度超过长度时，各线间的电容容值也会超过所要求的值，当把此电缆用于PLC输入时，线间电容就有可能引起PLC的误动作，会出现许多无法理解的现象。

这些现象主要表现为：明接线正确，但PLC却没有输入；PLC应该有的输入没有，而不应该有的却有，即PLC输入互相干扰。为解决这一问题

应当做到：

使用电缆芯绞合在一起的电缆；尽量缩短使用电缆的长度

把互相干扰的输入分开使用电缆；使用屏蔽电缆
